Four Types of Peterbald Coat


It is a very exiting to watch how your Peterbald kitten growing.
Peterbald can be born with different type of coat, but coat condition will change during the two years of the development period.
Generally - there is a four different types of coat but still many combinations.
The “Rubber” kitten will remind you the toy…. Wrinkled and sticky.
Breeders may call them: “Bald born”, “Sticky bald”. They do not have eye lashes, brows, whiskers…. They totally bald!
This type of Peterbald kittens are more gentle and need special care.
The “Flocked” kitten - feels like suede, chamois. They may have whiskers, some velour like fur on the points ( legs, face).
The “Brush” coated kitten - most unusual looking…. The wiry, strong hair will make you feel strange, but funny and nice. This type of Peterbald kittens - not shade!
Fourth type - “Straight” coated kittens. They looks like normal short hair cats, but
Genetically - they are Peterbalds.
All Peterbald kittens with different types and combinations of coat - have unique personality and special look!

  The Peterbald Breed

 

The Peterbald Breed is recognized now by several Registration Parties:TICA; FIFe; WCF and CCF.
There is a some differences between the Standards.....
 Accordingly to this differences - desirable type is varies.
Our Breeding Program is geared to an EXTREME ORIENTAL TYPE with very low placed huge sized ears.
Very slim, tubular body ( but not too long) with long straight legs and long tail.
 Breeders will be amazed with unpredictable tricks of Peterbald Genetic. Peterbalds are not for money makers and BYB.
 Even the breeders who have an experience for many years of breeding of some other breeds, will be surprised with Peterbalds.
They are unique in look, type, personality and genetic. They are DIFFERENT!
