WE
EXPECTING NEW KITTENS! DUE: END of
NOVEMBER.
It is very coming
question about the kitten coat.
And it is not easy to answer this question, when
kitten in age of 3-4 month old....
Many different combinations of Peterbald coat mite
be seen on kittens from same parents.
Here is some basic examples:
It is not easy to
predict some times final appearance of Peterbald
Coat.
Some kittens may grow additional hair, and coat
become more heavy.
Some will loose coat and become almost bald.
Some will grow coat and then loose it
completely.....
Most of my kittens will grow some coat after 4month
and then gradually loose
it, become Thin Flock.
Those two kittens was identical up to 4 month, then
Chocolate tabby girl become Brush,
but Lynx point boy become Flock-Velour.
Bald mother can give
a birth to all kind of type of coat.
Same litter may include bald, brush, flock and
strait coated Peterbald kittens!

BALD
Sticky bald kitten will need additional care for
his eyes, ears and body. Because it does not
have
any protection. Just like new born baby.
Gentle shampoo could be used for bathing. I will
recommend to bath kitten at least ones a month.
Ears will need to be clean weekly. You can use
any cream or ointment with low % of antibiotic.
Eyes may be cleaned with Therramycin ointment.

THIN FLOCK
Kitten born with thin flock may loose all
markings. Brown tabby girl become completely
chocolate after 2 years old.
Those kittens need less care, but still very
gentle bathing.
They may need additional heating pad ( I use
regular electric $15)

THICK FLOCK-VELOUR
This type of coat may keep most markings. Color
will stay.
Peterbald kitten will have curly whiskers and
brows.
|
||||
BRUSH (short)
Brush coated Peterbald is very unusual creature!
Funny fillings and some time funny looking body,
but same gentle personality!
Beautiful Oriental appearance.
